Sobkow Technologies is excited to have recently launched new websites for both the Town of Virden, Manitoba and the Rural Municipality of Cornwallis, Manitoba.
The Town of Virden website, located at http://www.virden.ca features a modern look and a featureset that includes an events calendar, a town e-mail subscription list, photo albums and video (coming soon). At the heart of Virden.ca is a site-wide content management that allows town staff to update information at any time. This tool will prove invaluable as a means of Town staff communicating with its over 3,000 citizens.
The Rural Municipality of Cornwallis website, located at http://gov.cornwallis.mb.ca, features a rich look coupled with content pertinent to both those living in the R.M. and those considering making it their home. The site also includes a breadth of tools aimed at making it easy for R.M. staff to reguarly update content.
Both sites also feature site-wide search functionality that allows the visitor to quickly and easily locate information that may be buried within the site's structure.
"Both of these initiatives demonstrate the fact that communities throughout Manitoba and the prairies are recognizing the importance of the internet like never before," said Sobkow Technologies president Adam Sobkow. "Not only the importance of having a professional front by which online visitors form their first impression, but the importance of having a system through which they can- by their own power- make use of the internet to quickly communicate relevant updated information to citizens."
