The Wheat City Journal is Western Manitoba’s highest distribution newspaper.
Previously its online offering consisted of basic information, PDF versions of its newspaper and a classified ad submission service.

With the growing popularity of the internet as a medium for a newspaper to communicate with its audience, it was decided that the full text of all articles needed to be made available online.

Sobkow Tech created a modern yet easy to navigate design based around a fully databased website. The Sobkow Tech Content Management system was implemented in order to allow effortless posting of articles, photos, PDFs and advertisement banners.

As well, features found on major national newspapers such as in-article font re-sizing and RSS feeds made it easier for the Journal’s audience to read its articles.
