The final game of the League Championship series was played on Sunday with Wheat City Roofing and Lookout Security playing game 4 of their best of 5 series.

    Both teams were extremely short handed and were playing without key members of their teams.  The final score ended up 7-6 in favour of Lookout Security.  Lookout wins their 9 consecutive League Title and 13th title in total.  Lookout Security were without perennial Allstar Max Bratzke, Sebastian Perrault, Domonique Arel, Brad Laroque, and Kyle Grier.

    The game started with Wheat City being up 2-0 on the strength of goals by Gilbert Teneycke and Vergel Parenteau.  Lookout out came back late in the first period and early in the second with Ches Mercer and Kevin Phillip replying.  The game was played with a 1 goal difference for the remainder of the game with the game being tied midway through the third period before Lookout was able to pull ahead with a goal by Tim Creek.  Ches Mercer scored 3 goals in the game and added 1 assist, while Tim Creek scored 2 goals and added 2 assists, Stephan Lajoie had 4 assists in the game, Jeff Ketch scored the other lone goal for Lookout and Don MacLellan picks up the win between the pipes because Dom Arel their regular goalie was preparing for Military duty.  Ches Mercer finishes the playoffs as the playoff point leader with 32 points in 8 games, last year's Playoff point leader Gilbert Teneycke finishes one point back with 31 points.  Lookout Security would like to thank the entire Wheat City Roofing team for helping this league  be as competitive as it is while still enjoying the game.  Wheat City Roofing and Lookout Security had some pops after the game together and were all entertained  by the extremely talented Steve Leveque and his piano skills, Thank you. 

   Wheat City Roofing the 2 time regular season champs were unable to defeat Lookout losing in the final for the second straight year.  Wheat City Roofing were without Rob Mousseau, Dustin Mousseau and Nathan Flett as well as their Captain Mike Genaille. Howard Contois scored 2 goals and added 3 assists to finish as the top scoring defenceman in the playoffs ending with 10 goals and 17 assists for 27 points in 8 games played.  Falcon Genaille scored the other goal for Wheat City Roofing.

   Notice:  The League is currently without an executive to run the League and will be approaching willing individuals in the near future to find appropriate people to have in place before the beginning of the new season which will begin in September.

President and Vice-President of our League are vacant at his time and will be filled before the end of June.
